Collagen Stimulators

ABOUT COLLAGEN STIMULATING INJECTIONS

Collagen stimulators consist of Poly- L-Lactic Acid, which is a synthetic polymer that has been used in the human body since 1960 and as medical suture material since 1970.

Collagen stimulating injection treatments activate your skin’s natural power to revitalize collagen production for a more youthful appearance.

This is a unique injectable treatment due to its ability to stimulate collagen.

Beautiful skin is a journey. But as time goes on, it can be harder and harder to keep up. As you age, collagen production diminishes, and your skin doesn’t have the same resiliency and fullness it did in the past. Collagen stimulator treatments provide a gradual result (over 3 months) with multiple initial treatments to give the best result. This treatment is for those who want a subtle and natural rejuvenation as there is no immediate ‘filling’ effect like with traditional dermal fillers.

Collagen stimulators work with your body to stimulate collagen production lost to ageing by rebuilding and reinforcing your skin’s structural foundation. Through a series of treatments, typically about three sessions of collagen stimulating injections over a few months, it restores the support and volume of youthful-looking skin, providing results that can last up to two years.

During the treatment, the patient will notice an immediate correction and improvement in facial appearance due to the volume of the solution being injected. Over the coming days, the initial result resolves as the solution resorbs, however, the tissue inflammatory response has been initiated which boosts natural collagen production.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the Collagen Stimulator treatment take?

For first-time visitors to tWR, an initial consultation is conducted and a long-term treatment plan is discussed initially to ensure your expectations are realistic and achievable. Once the treatment plan is agreed upon the actual treatment can take approx. 45-60 mins with minimal downtime.

During the treatment, the solution will be injected into the areas of concern – either with a needle or a blunt microcannula. The average amount for an initial treatment is 2-3 vials of collagen stimulator. The collagen stimulating injection procedure is comfortable and topical anaesthesia will be applied.

After the treatment, the doctor will massage the area firmly to ensure the distribution of the product and many patients find they can go about their day without any downtime.
