Tried and tested, the Ultraformer III is the hottest new skin rejuvenation treatment to hit the menu at the WHITE ROOM clinic, and our clients are seeing incredible results. The non-invasive ultrasound technology works to lift and tighten the face (and body!) for a firmer, smoother, and more youthful appearance, offering long lasting results that are seriously worth the investment.

But what exactly does non-invasive ultrasound technology look like, and how does it work? Keep reading for all you need to know.

What is HIFU?

HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound and targets layers of skin just below the surface, causing the tissue to heat rapidly, triggering the body’s natural regenerative process to lift and tighten.

While it may seem counterintuitive to damage the cells, the production of more collagen that begins provides structure to the skin, which is where the results and benefits are seen.

How does HIFU work?

There are three essential layers of the skin (superficial, deeper dermis and SMAS) and as we age, the structures of these weaken, causing visible signs of ageing, wrinkles, and fine lines.

Amazingly, the HIFU technology of the Ultraformer III targets all three of these layers, addressing laxity, sagging, and ageing. It’s a wonder treatment!

The SMAS layer connects to your muscle

What are the results of HIFU?

The efficacy of this technology is being applauded the world over, with most tWR clients experiencing the most pleasing results in:

  • Wrinkle reduction
  • Reduced double chin
  • Visible tightening of sagging skin on the neck
  • Lift in the cheeks, eyebrows and eyelids
  • An enhanced jawline definition
  • Tightening of the decolletage
  • Tightened abdomen
  • Firmer skin on the back of the arms

Is there any pain or downtime associated with HIFU?

At the WHITE ROOM clinic, we aim for all our clients to experience the most comfortable treatment possible. It is important to keep in mind that the treatment will be different for everyone.

In terms of downtime, you may experience mild redness and swelling across the treatment areas, however, this won’t last longer than a day or two. In some cases, some very mild and temporary bruising and numbness are also possible, but very uncommon.
